The state forest department has issued a notice to Salman Khan and his family for carrying out illegal construction at his farmhouse in Panvel. All family members of the Bollywood star are under the scanner for the same.
It all started with an individual owning a property in Panvel, who complained to the forest department about this matter. Subsequently, the actor's father Salim Khan was served a notice on June 09, 2018.
The notice stated that an offence was registered for violation of the Forest Act, for carrying out cement construction at Salman's Arpita farms. The property belongs to the actor along with his sister Alvira, Arpita, brother Arbaaz and Sohail and mother Helen Khan. It was registered on 21st November 2017.
Maharashtra's Forest Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar stated that due process was being followed and a notice is sent to the concerned person after the department receives a complaint. If the necessary documents are provided, then no action will be taken.
When Salim Khan was asked about the same, he said that the structures have been regularised and required fees have been paid, hence there is no illegal construction at the said place. It was done legally prior to the construction.
