Second most richest criminal Dawood Ibrahim's properties frozen by British authorities

 

One of the most wanted gangsters and second richest criminal, net asset at US$ 6.7 billion, has been frozen. Drug lord from Colombia Pablo Escobar is the richest criminal.According to Forbes business magazine, rewards of around $25m are on offer for his capture.

 

Dawood owns a residential properties in Midlands and hotels in Warwickshire.

 

Dawood Ibrahim is on the latest UK Treasury department’s Consolidated List of Financial Sanctions Targets.

 

In Pakistan he owns a property called The White House near the Saudi mosque in the seaside suburb of Clifton in Karachi Pakistan.

 

The UN also lists has published all 21 aliases for Ibrahim. Dawood Ibrahim, who is an accused of carrying out 1993-Mumbai bomb blasts  has his business interests in more than a dozen countries spread over Europe, Africa and South Asia.

 

His Midlands properties were on the radar of a team of four officers from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Indian’s economic intelligence agency.
